Quinine

Quinine: no notable intolerance on record.
Intolerances
- Histamine (+liberators / DAO inhibitors)None
- TyramineNone
- SalicylateNone
- SucroseNone
- FODMAPsNone
No FODMAPs in the quinine itself - an alkaloid is not a fermentable carbohydrate. The tonic water around it is a different question: a standard bottle is a sugary soft drink, and the sugar-free ones lean on polyols. The bitterness tells you nothing about either.
- LactoseFODMAPsNone
- OligosaccharidesFODMAPsNone
- SorbitolFODMAPsNone
No sorbitol. Quinine is an alkaloid from cinchona bark, not a carbohydrate, so it cannot carry a sugar alcohol. The drink it arrives in is another matter: tonic water and bitter lemon are sweetened, and the sugar-free versions are where polyols turn up. Read the label of the bottle, not the name of the compound.
- FructoseFODMAPsNone
No fructose in quinine, which is an alkaloid rather than a sugar. Worth checking the drink though: tonic water is commonly sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup, and that, not the quinine, is what a fructose profile should be reacting to.
- NickelNone
- OxalatesNone
- GlutenNo
